Abstract
Patients (3) had objective clicking tinnitus which was seen by using impedance audiometry. EMG [electromyogram] studies to localize the contracting muscle were performed, and EEG recordings were done to find the possible focal cortical activity. One patient had CNS degenerative lesions. Carbamazepine was given as the treatment. In all cases the clicks almost totally disappeared, making normal living possible. When medication was discontinued, the symptoms reappeared. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
