Abstract
Type I collagen synthesis in osteoblasts is regulated by a variety of systemic hormones, growth factors and locally produced factors. With the use of cDNA probes and hybridization analysis, it appears that many of these agents alter collagen synthesis by a pretranslational mechanism. Keywords
