Abstract
We conducted Southern blot analysis of DNAs from mouse × hamster somatic cell hybrids and progeny of an interspecies backcross to localize the mouse gene for DNA polymerase β (Polb) to the centromeric end of Chromosome 8 These results provide additional support for the regional localization of polymerase β. on the short arm of human chromosome 8 or the veryproximal end of the long arm. Keywords
