Abstract
The rat fetal pituitary-adrenal system responds to epinephrine with significant decrease of adrenal aseorbic acid at least from the 19th day of embryonal development on. The importance of this result as well as the significance of the non-reactivity period in the 1st postnatal days of life is discussed. Keywords
