Study of the Hemodynamic Effects of the Aorto-Coronary Sinus Graft Operation in Patients with Coronary Artery Disease

Abstract
A group of patients with coronary artery disease have been studied preoperatively and after surgical creation of an arteriovenous fistula between the descending aorta and coronary sinus (Beck II, revascularization operation). Preoperatively, basal studies of cardiac output and blood volume were done with radioisotope technics. Postoperatively, catheterization studies of cardiovascular function were obtained and abnormalities, including heart failure, were found in patients with functionally significant arteriovenous fistulas.Keywords
