Abstract
We describe an easily assembled and demountable film stopper for use in either a pumped 4He pot or a 3He–4He dilution refrigerator. The orifice plate for the film stopper is fabricated from a Pyrex glass plate and is sealed to the metal body of the still with an indium O-ring. The advantage of glass over metal for the orifice plate is achieved without complicated construction. Keywords
