Abstract
Comparative studies of lattice constants and electrical resistance for (R1-xPrx)Ba2Cu3O7- delta systems (R is a rare earth or Y) have been carried out as a function of Pr concentration. From electrical resistance measurements critical concentrations xcr of superconductivity suppression by Pr have been determined. The values of xcr are correlated with the ionic radii of R3+ ions. The structural changes associated with Pr substitution are opposite to those observed with oxygen depletion. Keywords
