Abstract
Anderson localization is studied by the analysis of the time dependence of a randomly specified wavefunction. It is shown that the average inverse participation ratio may be efficiently calculated in this way and results are given for lattices of one to four dimensions. Various refinements and generalizations are indicated. Keywords
