Abstract
THE Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome is a specific electrocardiographic finding frequently reported with cardiac arrhythmias and other cardiac problems.1 2 3 4 5 6 7 However, the WPW electrocardiographic pattern also occurs in asymptomatic healthy persons.8 9 10 11 The United States Air Force Central ECG Library at the School of Aerospace Medicine has accumulated 320 case records in such a population.The study described below was initiated to establish criteria for morbidity and mortality in otherwise healthy men during a follow-up period of five to 28 years.
