Abstract
Endogenous creatinine clearance of the adult rat has been determined to be 0.556 ml/min/100 gm B. W. This value must be increased about 25% in order to obtain ‘true’ creatinine clearances. Large doses of atropine or hexamethonium decreased the creatinine, sodium and potassium clearances. The clearance of sodium was decreased to a greater extent than was the creatinine or potassium clearance. The urinary Na/K ratio was also decreased in the presence of both drugs. Keywords
