Abstract
The application of an active surgical robot, the Surgical Assistant Robot for Prostatectomy (SARP), to transurethral resection of the prostate is discussed. SARP performs surgery under the supervision of a surgeon. The mechanical construction computing system, software, motion controller and image system of SARP are discussed. Keywords
