Abstract
The pool of adenylnucleotides ([ATP], [ADP], and [AMP]) is enhanced in yeast samples (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) treated with EM pulsed field for 15 min. ATP concentration is significantly increased, particularly in samples treated at 80 and 110 Hz (64.53 ± 12.13 and 58.50 ± 4.66 nmol/mg) with respect to controls (30.95 ± 3.63 nmol/mg). The energy charge does not change significantly as [ADP] and [AMP] are also increased, except in the case of 40-Hz-treated samples. Keywords
