Abstract
A method has been devised for the selection of auxotrophic mutants in higher plants. The method depends upon the incorporation of BUdR into the DNA of non-auxotrophic cells and upon its lack of incorporation into the DNA of auxotrophic cells. A wide range of auxotrophic types were recovered. Keywords
