Abstract
Eight items on the information subtest of the WAIS [Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale] have a distinct American content bias. Four of these were retained on the WAIS-R [Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Revised]. Data from studies involving a Canadianized version of the information subtest are reported. Canadianization significantly alters the item difficulty of 2 items but not the remaining 6. Thus, since Canadianization has minor or negligible effects on the psychometric qualities of the test, it should be Canadianized for Canadian exmainees. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
