Abstract
Rabbits injected with a human serum fraction containing plasma thrombo-plastin component (PTC) and proconvertin developed inhibitors to these human coagulation factors but not to their own. The two inhibitory activities could be separated by differential absorption with human plasmas congenitally deficient in PTC or proconvertin. Precipitin reactions occurred when the rabbit antiserum was mixed with human normal, PTC deficient or proconvertin deficient plasma. After pre-incubation with PTC deficient plasma, precipitins were seen only with normal or proconvertin deficient plasma, while after preincubation with proconvertin-deficient plasma, precipitin reactions occurred only with normal or PTC deficient plasma. Keywords
