Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 32-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of a cystic mass in the liver.She was well until five months earlier, when diarrhea and fever developed and subsided after three days. Three months before admission she began to experience a "pressure" sensation in the epigastrium, which occurred between meals and was partially relieved by eating, and noticed a mass in the same area. A physician obtained laboratory studies that included a blood count, an erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and an automated scan of multiple biochemical tests, all of which were normal.
