Abstract
The results of the analytic approach to hadron scattering of Amado, Dedonder, and Lenz are generalized to include other often used nuclear density parametrizations. The necessary integrals involving the nuclear density and their radial moments are evaluated in closed form for several commonly used parametrizations. These results, when combined with asymptotic analytic expressions for hadron-nucleus scattering, provide insights into the dependence of elastic and inelastic hadron scattering on the functional form of the nuclear density. Our results demonstrate the empirical mixing of interaction strengths and target densities and establish the independence of high- hadronic and low- electromagnetic measures of coupling strengths.
