Abstract
Predictions are made for the photoproduction amplitudes of low-lying N12+(P11) and Δ32+(P33) resonances, using a quark model with relativistic corrections to the transition operator, and mixed nonrelativistic wave functions which are correctly orthogonal to the ground states. These amplitudes are also calculated using relativized model wave functions. The results for the Roper resonance N(1440) are in marked disagreement with the data.
