Abstract
Reversed-phase partition chromatography, using silicone-treated kieselguhr and aqueous acetone- medicinal paraffin, was extended to the resolution of a mixture of even-numbered fatty acids from C16- to C24. This proved satisfactory as a qualitative and semi-quantitative method for identification of acids above C18 in length and suitable for analysis of natural mixtures of saturated and unsaturated acids. Keywords
