Abstract
A new method of partition chromatography was devised in which the less polar of the two phases is the stationary phase, by using kieselguhr treated with silicone. This reversed-phase method has been applied to the separation of the long-chain fatty acids. Saturated acids having 12-18C atoms have been separated, and mixtures of saturated, un-saturated and substituted acids have been analyzed. Keywords
