Abstract
The minimum level of furacin detectable in milk using the disc assay against Bacillus subtilis was investigated. Furacin added to milk was detected at the 0.03 [mu]g/ml. The zones produced had uniformly small diameters with little difference between the 0,03 [mu]g/ml and 25 [mu]g/ml levels of furacin. The milk from 8 animals infused with 30 ml of a 0.2% furacin preparation in one quarter contained no furacin 24 hours after the last treatment. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
