Abstract
We reexamine the decay → γ within the context of the six-quark Kobayashi-Maskawa model of CP violation. We estimate the short- and long-distance contributions to the matrix element for direct photon emission. We argue that most of the matrix element is from the long-distance contribution restricted to photons of magnetic polarization and does not contribute to any possible asymmetry. Although this argument fits nicely with the existing experimental data, it implies that any potential asymmetry must be less than sinδ. .AE
