Abstract
To the Editor: Recently described cases of aggressive lymphadenopathic and visceral Kaposi's sarcoma in the United States have occurred in homosexual men.1 2 3 We have observed a similar case in a heterosexual drug addict.A 28-year-old man was admitted for evaluation of fever and lymphadenopathy. During the preceding month he had noted progressively enlarging cervical lymph nodes, fever, drenching night sweats, a weight loss of 9 kg, and a sore throat. He had a 14-year history of addiction to cocaine and intravenous heroin, but he denied using amyl nitrate.
