Abstract
We report measurements of 10 of the levels in Ag II using laser excitation of a fast beam, and we compare these results with those obtained from a calculation using Cowan's relativistic Hartree - Fock method. The mean ratio of the experimental and theoretical lifetimes is . Our results are also compared with previous (non-laser) experiments and calculations. Here the agreement with our results is only fair. Keywords
