Abstract
A critical evaluation of the fluorimetric method for the estimation of »total‐oestrogen» in urine described by Brown et al. (4) is presented. Based upon comparison between the resuits obtained through this method with 1) results obtained in other laboratories using the same method, 2) results obtained using a method of high reliability and 3) results using a semiquantitative bioassay it is concluded that the fluorimetric method is of sufficient reliability. Keywords
