Abstract
The effects of various nonsteroid antiinflammatory compounds on human gastric mucosal adenylate cyclase were tested. Fenamates, indomethacin and diclofenac-Na are relatively specific prostaglandin E2 inhibitors at the level of mucosal cyclase activity. Apparently inhibition of prostaglandin E2-activated adenylate cyclase might contribute to the ulcerogenic effects of certain nonsteroid antiinflammatory drugs. Keywords
