Abstract
The detection of mixed valences in organic metals using thin layer cyclic voltammetry is reported. Although mixed valence is recognized as a prerequisite for superconductivity in cation radical salts this is the first report of a method which enables the reliable prediction of the conditions necessary for the production of a suitable cation radical stoichiometry. The method and its application to TTF derivatives are described. Keywords
