Abstract
A lower-hybrid instability with ion cyclotron harmonics is observed to be resonantly driven by an ion beam injected obliquely to the confining magnetic field, in agreement with a linear, warm-plasma theory. Quasilinear velocity-space diffusion of the beam is observed. Keywords
