Abstract
Three cases of cerebral vascular spasm following transfrontal removal of large pituitary neoplasms were reported. One patient awakened from surgery hemiparetic, but has since recovered. A 2nd patient developed hemiparesis with confusion on the 5th postoperative day and eventually died. The 3rd patient developed hemiplegia on the 10th postoperative day, but recovered completely. Vascular spasm was documented angiographically in all 3 cases. Possible mechanisms underlying this unusual complication were discussed. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
