Abstract
This paper compares the incidence of secondary hemorrhage in posttonsillectomy patients who were discharged 48 h after operation (2.8%) with those discharged at 24 h (3%). There was no significant difference between the groups. A higher incidence of secondary hemorrhage in those patients in whom diathermy was used for hemostasis rather than ligatures (P < 0.01) supports previous studies. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
