Abstract
The effect of cooling and the application of certain chemical compounds in increasing the skin tolerance, based upon an investigation in rabbits is discussed. Cystamine and p-methoxy-thiophenol more than doubled the tolerance; the reaction became milder and developed faster, and the hairs reappeared after up to 13,500r. Cystamine seemed also to afford protection when applied after irradiation. Keywords
