Abstract
Advantages and problems in the use of physchophysio-logical data in process and outcome studies are discussed. A multivariate approach to such studies is emphasized. Dental fear and its treatment by Systematic Desensitization is presented as a focal model for the development of process and outcome methodology.Keywords
