Abstract
A simple technique for measuring optical fibre dispersion (or pulse spectrum if fibre dispersion is known) is demonstrated. Ultra-short pulses are linearly dispersed in the fibre under test, thus mapping their spectrum to the time domain. The delay between two spikes in the dispersed pulse's temporal profile, corresponding to two spectral spikes, accurately gives the dispersion. Keywords
