Abstract
Presentation of CaseA sixty-six-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of pain in the abdomen and back.On the morning of admission he experienced the sudden onset of pain in the left lower quadrant of the abdomen as well as pain in the lower portion of the back, with radiation to the hips.On examination three years before entry the blood pressure was 190 systolic, 115 diastolic. He complained of occasional aches in the calves at night. An intravenous pyelographic examination was negative. The creatinine was 1.4 mg. per 100 ml.
