Abstract
Until the etiologic agent of cat scratch fever is determined, the skin test is the best diagnostic procedure available. This is concluded from a study involving over 250 patients and 94 controls. The serological reaction with "Lygranum CF", although suggestive, needs further study in order to evaluate its relationship to the disease. The pathology may also be suggestive, but as the disease resembles other infections, this, too, may be confusing. A history of contact with cats can be elicited from most individuals questioned, regardless of whether or not they had the disease. Caution in the use of antigenic material from patients with a history of jaundice is emphasized. Keywords
