Abstract
By means of paper electrophoresis it was possible to fractionate a human chorionic gonadotropin into 5 components. The paper strips were treated with ninhydrin, amide black 10 B and Schiff''s reagent. In addition 2 semiquantitative bioassays were used to localize activity on the paper strip. Of the 5 peaks reacting to ninhydrin, 3 had bioactivity. The bulk of the glycoproteins migrating in a single band proved to be biologically inactive. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
