Abstract
Detailed properties of intermittency and multifractality associated with multiplicity fluctuations in annihilation are investigated in the framework of the Monte Carlo code JETSET for the Lund parton shower model. Dependences on energy, rapidity window width, and multiplicity are found to be very complicated. In order to extract the underlying essence of the fractal behavior, an exhaustive study is made to uncover universal properties of the intermittency indices and multifractal spectra. The latter is found to be more amenable to universal description, independent of the details of the experimental parameters.
