Beta-Decay of IsomericCd113

A 5.1±0.3-year activity has been assigned as an isomer of the stable ${\mathrm{Cd}}^{113}$ isotope. Instead of the usual decay to the ground state by gamma-rays, beta-rays of 0.5 Mev are emitted to form ${\mathrm{In}}^{113}$. X-rays are also observed.
