Abstract
The karyotypes of five species of Turbellaria from the Øresund, Denmark, were determined. The chromosome numbers were found to be 2n = 6, n = 3 in the germinal line of Monocelis lineata (Proseriata), and 2n = 14 from metaphase plates from regenerative blastema of Procerodes littoralis (Tricladida). In Discocelides langi and Cryptocelides loveni (both Polycladida) the diploid number was found to be 2n = 20, and in C. loveni an analysis of male and female meiosis was also carried out. In Notoplana atomata (Polycladida) the chromosome numbers were ascertained to be 2n = 18, n = 9, and this finding is discussed with reference to the chromosome sets previously described within the same genus. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
