Abstract
We argue that the standard calculation leading to the Gamov factor should be significantly corrected in the region of small relative momenta due to final-state strong interactions. We recalculate the new correction factor based on the reduced Bethe-Salpeter equation, which is relevant in the momentum region under consideration, and find out that the mentioned factor is appreciably smaller compared to the standard Gamov factor. Keywords
