Abstract
The following observations were made in rats surviving total body irradiation with doses of 600 and 1400 r/air because of exposure under anoxic conditions (1) Marked shortening of the life span as compared to unirradiated controls ; (2) High death rate due to pneumonia; (3) Nephrosclerosis and generalized arteriosclerosis; (4) Development of hypertension; (5) Thrombo-cytopenia and anemia; (6) Cataract formation during the 10th mo. after irradiation; (7) Cachexia; (8) Late epilation over head and back. Keywords
