Abstract
In 2786 consecutive autopsies, there were 137 patients with berry (saccular or so-called congenital) aneurysms of the circle of Willis. The statistics for this series show 60 males and 77 females with saccular aneurysms. The actual difference between the sexes is masked, however, unless one considers the ratio of the sexes in the entire autopsy population. The 2786 autopsies include 1718 males and 1068 females. The actual incidence of aneurysms as to sex in this series is 3.5% in males and 7.2% in females. Keywords
