Abstract
Hb-Lepore was demonstrated in 4 members of a Turkish family. it was found in the heterozygote state and was associated with erythrocyte morphology similar to that observed in the .beta.-thalassemia trait. The average concentration of Hb-Lepore was 8.1% of the total Hb. Structural analysis showed that the Lepore Hb was the LeporeBoston type. This the 1st reported instance of the occurrence of Hb-Lepore in Turkey. This publication has 18 references indexed in Scilit:
