Abstract
The process of Auger de-excitation of slow metastable atoms, colliding with solid surfaces is considered within the Penning ionisation mechanism. The corresponding transition probability is obtained in closed analytical form. De-excitation probability calculations for the He+(n)+Mo(100) (n=2, 3, 4) and He(23S)+Mo(100) colliding systems are performed and compared with the previous theoretical results. Keywords
