Abstract
Blood samples were taken from 6 dogs after an 18-hr. fast. Two ml. of cerebrospinal fluid were withdrawn from their cisterna magna and 2 ml. of 5% glucose were inj. Blood samples for glucose detn. were taken at 5, 15, 30, 60, and 120 mins. There was no lowering of the glucose level of the blood after intracisternal injn. The blood glucose tended to increase during the 2d hr. of the tests. Dogs anesthetized with Na pentobarbital gave results essentially similar to those found in unanesthetized dogs. Keywords
