Abstract
We develop the relativistic Rankine-Hugoniot relations for a three-dimensional plane shock and a three-dimensional oblique shock. Using these discontinuity relations together with various equations of state for nuclear matter, we calculate the temperatures and the compressibilities attainable by shock compression for a wide range of laboratory kinetic energy of the projectile. Keywords
