Pathophysiology and Treatment of Adrenal Crisis

Abstract
THE treatment of adrenal crisis has become an increasingly important topic for surgeons and internists. This derives from the ever-widening use of adrenalectomy as a therapeutic procedure in a variety of conditions. The consequent availability of bilaterally adrenalectomized patients has permitted a study of adrenal crisis and an analysis of its pathophysiology.
