Preservation of Saprolegniaceae by the Mineral Oil Method

Abstract

133 cultures of 67 isolates belonging to 7 genera of the Saprolegniaceae had retained viability after 10-30 mos. under mineral oil used according to the method of Buell and Weston. Lyophilization was found unsuitable as a means of preserving Achlya spp.
