Superconductivity and Substrate Interaction of Screen-Printed Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O Films

Abstract
Thick films of the Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O system have been prepared by the screen-printing and sintering method to show moderately high-T c superconductivity. Electric properties and crystal structures of the films were strongly dependent on both the sintering temperature and substrate materials. Highly oriented films were obtained by sintering the films printed on YSZ and SrTiO3 substrates at 850°C. A film prepared on YSZ substrate showed superconductivity with the onset and zero resistivity temperature of 95 K and 68 K, respectively.
