Abstract
Low loss polymer waveguides and waveguide devices are fabricated by injection moulding of PMMA substrates and by using a new waveguide core polymer system: PFPMA/ TeCEA. This system is highly transparent in the IR, and compatible with PMMA. Waveguide transmission loss figures of 0.2 dB/cm at 1300 nm and 0.7 dB/cm at 1550 nm have been achieved. Keywords
